Senior Software Engineer
Appcues
- Built foundational parts of Appcues’ shared framework for creating and delivering in-app experiences, contributing to a redesign of the Experience Builder and SDK to support new message types.
- Owned the middleware that translated the Builder’s application state into the custom DSL consumed by the SDK to render experiences.
- Developed Elixir backend services for the workflow system, integrating email jobs, push notifications, user segmentation and qualification logic, and data exports driven by ClickHouse events.
- Led frontend development for Workflows and Journeys and worked across the Customer API, integrations, and screenshot-generation services.
- Built an AI-assisted workflow engine that translated customer intent into a validated DSL for creating onboarding experiences.
